The much anticipated long chairlift ride to access the Black Diamond slopes provides time to ponder many questions. At the summit, the panoramic view is both breathtaking and helps to give perspective to the upcoming challenge. Skiing well on a Black Diamond slope is a major accomplishment that takes practice, courage and commitment. Now let’s really put this into perspective.

On Thursday evening, December 3rd Reines Jewelers of Charlottesville located at Shoppers World under the clock tower hosted an event displaying beautiful jewelry that seemed to sparkle and glisten with more eye catching clarity and purpose than ever before. Peter Reines and his staff graciously offered a fun and festive holiday event – where women were supporting other women – with the goal to help fund an important therapeutic event for women cancer survivors.

The weekend of November 20-22, 2009 many Rainbow Trout were caught and then released back to their natural environment at the annual ADAPTIVE ANGLERS ON THE FLY – Fly Fishing Camp for Disabled.
Therapeutic Adventures, Inc. a non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable education organization and Thomas Jefferson Trout Unlimited (TJTU) teamed up to offer the six annual event that served persons of all ages with differing abilities.

On Saturday, November 14, 2009 Meet Me At The Mountain- (MMATM) was honored to share the front window of the New Dominion Bookshop (NDB) with internationally acclaimed author, John Grisham. The NDB located on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall is a favorite of Mr. Grisham. NDB carries John Grisham’s many books and always displays his newest release, currently Ford County. Read more »
