Bradley T. Arms – Marine Corps League Detachment 1256 honor Andrews as “Person of the Year”

Vice Commandant, Carlton Crenshaw

Each month, the Bradley T. Arms Marine Corps League Detachment 1256, consisting of approximately 20-30 of our country’s finest heroes who served in WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and other recent conflicts meet at the JAG School in Charlottesville, Virginia.  Under the direction of Commandant, Stephen Streep and Sr. Vice Commandant, Carlton Crenshaw these retired Marines gathered on Thursday, March 18, 2010 to honor Mark Andrews as “Person of the Year,” recognizing his 30 years of work with the Paralyzed Veterans Association, the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center, the Wounded Warriors project, and other Disabled Veterans and their families.

After a few meeting formalities, Commandant, Stephen Streep thanked Mark Andrews for his many years of work with disabled military veterans.  Andrews started the evening saying, “I am honored to be here and I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of you who have served this great country and who made many sacrifices to protect the freedoms that we all enjoy!”

Andrews reflects on his past 30 years saying, “We have been honored and privileged to provide individual instruction and group programs for soldiers after they have returned home from serving in the Korean War, Vietnam, Bosnia, the Gulf War, Afghanistan and Iraq.  We have also worked with those who are victims of war and oppressed societies such as Somalia, and some Eastern European countries. It is important to do ALL that we can to support these military heroes! ”

God Bless All the Men and Women who serve for our Military!
